Located in the southern region of Minas, this Brazil Yellow Bourbon benefits from a climate ideal for coffee production. First cultivated in the 1930s, it’s known for its distinctive appearance and cup profile, making it a globally recognised variety. With low to medium yields and greater care requirements, it remains a rarer offering on the market. Grown at altitudes above 1000 masl across 20,000 square kilometres, nearly 70% of the farm can be worked by hand due to minimal mountainous terrain.
Yellow Bourbon is a natural mutation of Red Bourbon, known for its yellow or orange ripe cherries and celebrated for its high quality and sweet, complex flavour. This quarter, our boutique Yellow Bourbon blend is sourced by the quality team at Bourbon Specialty Coffee, Brazil’s leading specialty exporter, from three outstanding farms, run by the Agro Beloni families: Santa Cruz da Vargem Grande, Esperança and Sítio Monte Alto.
This delicately balanced coffee offers a soft honey sweetness layered with gentle floral notes, leading into a smooth finish of roasted almond. A refined cup with a clean, graceful character
